What Teasdale is pointing at is the fact that whatever brings about love in our lives is what we should focus on. For me, this doesn’t mean a purchase. It means that we do believe life has extreme value and we should cherish it. Let’s spend all we have—our time, our energy, our positive thoughts, towards that which we love.
Sara Teasdale (1884-1933) was an American poet. She had poor health much of her life, and did not begin school until age 14. She published her first poem in 1907, and went on to publish four more volumes of poetry. Her collection, Love Songs, won the 1918 Pulitzer Prize for poetry. Her poem, \”There Will Come Soft Rains,\” inspired a famous short story of the same name by Ray Bradbury.
